India Boosts with BrahMos supersonic cruise missile

Gautam Guha, Agami Kalarab: The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the ground version of the Brahmos supersonic cruise missile in the Chandipur range of Orissa recently. Mass 3,000 kg (6,600 lb), 2,500 kg (5,500 lb) (air-launched). Length 8.4 m (28 ft), Diameter 0.6 m (2.0 ft), Warhead 200 kg (440 lb), conventional semi-armour-piercing and nuclear 300 kg (660 lb) (air-launched) both manufactured indigenously by the Indian Ordnance Factories. Engine First stage: solid fuel rocket booster
Second stage: liquid-fueled ramjet, both manufactured indigenously by the Indian Ordnance Factories. It is a cruise missile that can target both water and ground and air from these three places. At present, China and Pakistan do not yet have missiles that can target these three places – water, land and air.

The propulsion of this missile is outstanding. It is almost impossible to destroy it. India and Russia are currently working on hypersonic systems to increase the range and capabilities of these missiles. In the coming days, India and Russia will increase the range of supersonic cruise missile Brahmos from 260 km to 690 km. As a result, the entire Pakistan will be in the range of this missile. The supersonic missile will destroy many other targets. Supersonic cruise missile with Brahmos low-range ramjet engine. These missiles can be fired easily from submarines, ships, warplanes or even ground. Brahmos missiles can be fired day and night, and in any weather. Under other circumstances, the missile power of this missile does not decrease. This missile can hit three times faster than sound.
